How did you hear about Lakeside? I heard about Lakeside and its wonderful opportunities by Josh Hilgenberg and also one of my fraternity’s advisors, Ashley Helmstetter.

What are you most looking forward to this summer at Lakeside? I am looking forward to the relationships, professional and personal, that I am going to form from this experience. I was enthused to begin working as an accounting intern mainly because I have not had any field experience, just classroom experience. I know that this summer will be one to remember as it will be a phenomenal learning experience.

What do you hope to gain from this experience? Better personal and professional skills especially in my career path. As I previously mentioned, outside of the classroom, I have no applicable accounting skills. I know that I am going to make a positive gain from having a summer at Lakeside. The members of this community are very positive and have made the transition into my internship a memorable one.

Name one goal you hope to achieve this summer? A goal of mine is to actually read more frequently, I packed more books that I have always planned on reading. Over choir tour, I began to read on the bus and I made a promise to myself that I would continue to read.

What are some of your hobbies and what do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love playing guitar, singing, playing video games on my computer and working out. I am a member of the Heidelberg University concert choir and I am the secretary for the choir next year. I am also a member of Rho Eta Delta men’s fraternity on campus.

What is one of your proudest moments you have achieved thus far in life? One of my proudest accomplishments in my personal life was becoming captain of the football team my senior year of high school. On top of that, we went to state playoffs for the first time in ten years. I was elected by my teammates to take a major leadership position and it has made a huge positive impact in my life for when I need to take initiative and lead.

What is your dream job? I feel that this question is almost too broad for me because of my interests, but three things do come to mind. The first being a coach for a high school or college team, comradery is an aspect that I loved about being a part of a team. My second dream job would be to be a luthier, a person which their career is to build musical instruments. My third would be the leader in my department of a successful business.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.  I was voted “Most Changed” in high school.
