It’s the time of year when that welcomes changing colors, cooler temps and fall festivals across the state.

Lighthouse Festival Weekend

One of the most cherished fall traditions along Lake Erie is the Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival. Held on the second Saturday in October, this year’s event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

This free, peninsula-wide event includes fun for the whole family with tours of the Marblehead Lighthouse, live entertainment, hayrides, farmers’ market, children’s games and crafts, a pumpkin-decorating contest, arts & crafts vendors, wooden boat rides and much more.

Pack your favorite Lakeside sweatshirt and head to the lake for this unique festival weekend. Limited rooms are available at Hotel Lakeside and the Fountain Inn; both located a short walking distance (or shuttle ride) from the festival’s activities.

To make a reservation, call (419) 798-4461, ext. 230 and ask for the ‘Lighthouse Festival Hotel Package.’ The package is $269 (+tax) for two nights on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8.
