The Rev. Beth Wilterdink - CompressedLakeside Chautauqua welcomes the Rev. Beth Wilterdink as guest preacher for the 10 a.m. Hoover Community Worship Service on Sunday, June 141 in Hoover Auditorium.

The Rev. Beth Wilterdink is a United Methodist pastor at Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, in Concord, Ohio.

Rev. Wilterdink finds that following Jesus invites people to think about the world differently, and react to life with love forgiveness, and acceptance.

Although she’s the only one of four siblings to become a theologian, her brother, Fritz Streiff, is the choir director at Painesville United Methodist Church. Her dad now is the pastor at Norwalk United Methodist, and her mother has retired from the ministry.

In the past, she has worked as a camp counselor, taught outdoor education and taught 5th grade science. She served on the Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM) as a president from 1996-2000.

She met her husband, Jon, while living and studying at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary near Chicago, where both achieved their master of divinity degree.

The Wilterdinks recently moved into a home near the Mentor and Concord Township boundary. They have an adorable 2yr-old son. As a family, they love being outdoors and gardening.

In addition to the Hoover Community Worship Service, the Lakeside United Methodist Church will host a worship service, led by the Rev. Vernon Shepherd, at 9 a.m.
